User Guide

Key Features
  • Free online chemical structure drawing tool that renders molecular structures from SMILES strings, auto-rendering as you type and also offering a manual "Render" button
  • 10 built-in common compound templates (benzene, ethanol, acetic acid, glucose, caffeine, aspirin and more) load in one click, with hints for writing single bonds and ring structures
  • Light/dark/auto themes, plus a live count of the atoms and chemical bonds in the molecule
  • Copy the current SMILES string in one click, or export the structure as PNG or SVG; everything runs locally in your browser — your data never leaves your device
How to Use
  1. Open the tool page — no download or installation needed
  2. Type or paste a SMILES string in the input box (or pick a template from the dropdown, or click "Example" to load caffeine); the atom and bond counts update on the left in real time
  3. The structure auto-renders as you type, and you can click "Render" to redraw when needed; switch light/dark/auto theme, and any SMILES errors show a message on the canvas
  4. Click "Copy SMILES" to copy the current string, or click "Export PNG / SVG" to download the drawn molecule
Important Notes
  • This tool is completely free and requires no sign-up
  • Everything runs locally in your browser — your data never leaves your device
  • The SMILES string must follow its syntax (e.g. atoms connected by single bonds, closed-ring notations); invalid input shows a render error on the canvas, and export requires the structure to render first
